Young Pars News 2 January 2010

(Entry for Young Pars page of Match Programme v Raith Rovers)

Hi Young Pars

A Happy New Year to all Young Pars members and their families! Hope 2010 is good to you all. A Happy New Year also to the manager, players and everyone connected to the Club from everyone at the Young Pars.

Well, did you all have a good
Christmas? Was Santa good to you?
Bet he brought you loads of exciting things!

Young
Pars Christmas bowling night

Once again this proved to be
a very enjoyable evening. Five
players attended and each of them captained a Young Pars team.
They were Stephen Bell, David Graham, Graham Holmes, Craig Paterson and
Greg Ross. Prizes were awarded at
the end for the highest score from a Young Par as well as the highest and lowest
scores from the players. The
competition for the Young Pars award was very close.
Michael McKenzie was third with a score of 118 with Grant Barr just ahead
on 120 to claim the runner up spot. The
winner was Paul Allan with a score of 125. This
was Paul’s second victory with the Young Pars this year as he won the penalty
kick competition for season 2008-2009. Well
done, Paul! Obviously quite a
competitor!

Greg Ross won the players
prize with a score of 154 with Graeme Holmes being the unfortunate winner of the
players’ booby prize. We won’t
reveal Graeme’s score but let’s just say he is a lot better at playing
football than he is at bowling!

Thanks to Bowlplex for
providing a signed Ten Pin for the winning child and certificates for the
winners and booby prize.
