Young Pars News - 31 Jan 2009

(Entry for Young Pars page of Match Programme v Queen of the South) Hi Young Pars

What a disappointment last weekend when the St Johnstone match was called off because of a frozen pitch. We had a bus organised for Young Pars and parents and everyone was looking forward to going through to the game but it was not to be. At this moment in time we don’t know what is happening about the rescheduled game but, if you were booked onto our bus, we will let you know as soon as we can.

Ballboy/Ballgirl
spotlight

Today we have one of our hard working ball
girls in the spotlight. Fourteen
year old Kim McFarlane has supported the Pars for about 7 years following in the
footsteps of her father who has been a Pars fan all his life.
Her mum is originally from

Glasgow

and used to support one of the big two through there but has long since been
converted to the Pars we’re glad to say! Kim’s
favourite memory from watching the Pars was at the last Scottish Cup final
because of the fantastic atmosphere.

As a ball girl she enjoys being on the
touchline and watching the play close up. What
she doesn’t like is the awful weather they sometimes have to stand out in –
and it has been pretty bad on occasions so far this season!
As Kim plays football herself, though, she should be used to being out in
all weathers! Kim thinks the best
thing about being in the Young Pars is getting to meet the players at the
different events. Her favourite
player at the moment is Callum Woods.

Let’s give all our ball boys and girls lots
of encouragement as they go about their duties.

and will be in touch with all our members to let you know what’s happening.

this! If you have any ideas of
things you would like us to do at the Young Pars then please get in touch.
We are always looking for new ideas to take on board.
