Young Pars News - 14 November 2009
(Entry for Young Pars page of Match Programme v Partick Thistle)
Hi Young Pars
Did you all enjoy your Hallowe’en and Bonfire night celebrations? We thought the fireworks in the Glen were fantastic!
The game against Raith Rovers at
Starks
Park
last Saturday was fantastic too! What
a great result – and scoring in the 90th minute to win the game was
just awesome! What an atmosphere!
It was a busy weekend for Pars fans last
weekend! Hope a few of you managed
along to the charity match which was played here last Sunday.
Even though some of you won’t remember some of the players when they
turned out for the Pars many years ago it was still great fun to watch! One
of the players on the park last Sunday was Ian McCall, who is back again today,
but in the quite different role of manager of the opposition!
Let’s hope he doesn’t find it such an enjoyable occasion as last
week!
Christmas
events
We are waiting for dates to be confirmed for
our Christmas events. At the moment
all we can say is that they will, hopefully, be happening sometime in the week
starting 13th December. Details
will be sent out in the newsletter and Sammy’s Gang will receive invitations
for his Christmas party.
Penalty
kick competition
It does seem a bit early to be organising this
just now but the way the fixtures are working out at the end of the season has
meant that we will probably need to hold the qualifying heats at Pitreavie in
February – and that’s not too far away!
We will let you know details nearer the time, of course, but you may want
to start practising your penalties to sharpen up your skills!
Birthday
board
Happy Birthday to the following Young Pars who
all celebrate their birthdays in November.
Macauley Kenny, Cameron Walker, Scott
Mitchell, Calum Walls and Aileigh Easton.
Hope you all enjoy your special day!
Competition
prizewinner
Congratulations to Alicia Howatt who won a £10
voucher to spend in the Club shop in our latest programme competition!
We asked who had scored the most goals for the Pars in all competitions
last season and the answer was, of course, Andy Kirk.
Well done, Alicia! We hope
you enjoy spending your voucher and, as we mentioned before, your £10 will go
even further if you visit the shop this month as they are offering 20% off all
purchases made in store in November. Season
ticket holders are being offered 25% off purchases!
With Christmas fast approaching, maybe now is
the time for all you Young Pars to let your family and friends know what Pars
related presents you would like. This
is a great offer not to be missed!
