Young Pars News 20 Sept 2008

(Young Pars page of Match Programme v Ross County)

Hi Young Pars

What a busy time we had last weekend! First we took a bus of Young Pars to Dens Park to watch the Pars play Dundee on Saturday then Sammy the Tammy had his birthday party on Sunday.

Sammy’s
birthday party

Over twenty Sammy’s Gang members enjoyed his
birthday party in the Kingdom Suite. It
was the usual mix of entertainment and high jinx from Sammy the Tammy and Mr
Barking and despite Sammy trying to make out that Mr Barking is not one of his
best friends, they really do get along well together!
Sammy was pretending to be an Olympic champion in his story and joined Mr
Barking for synchronised swimming and a bit of wrestling!
Can you guess who came off best in the wrestling?!
Sammy can’t wait now until his Christmas party so that he can meet up
with his Gang again – and get some more party food!

Away
trip to

Dundee

This was our first exchange trip this season
and all those who came with us had an enjoyable day out.
The children were given juice and crisps from our friends in
Dundee

to eat during the game and we held a raffle on the bus on the way home with
prizes of tickets to this week’s home game and goody bags.

We really enjoy giving our young members the
opportunity to go to away games and these exchange trips allow them free entry
to the ground. However, we do have
to pay for the bus and this causes problems when we have a lot of call offs on
the morning of the game as happened last week, although obviously if you are
unwell this can’t be helped.One
way round this problem would be if we had a sponsor for these away days.
If you or someone you know would be interested in doing this we’d be
delighted to hear from you!

Next exchange game for us against
Clyde

on Saturday 4th October. Please
phone Christine if you wish to come with us.

Club Night

We will be holding our first Club night of the
season in the Kingdom Suite on Tuesday 30th September from
7pm-8.30pm

.This is for all Young Pars aged 7
and over.If you would like to come
along then please phone either Christine or Helen so that we have an idea of
numbers attending.See you then!
